Videos of well known dj’s mixing

Hey everyone, I thought I would start a thread where we can all post videos of dj’s mixing. Whether it’s out of this world mixing or slightly over par, I think it’s interesting as well as very educational to see how they react to the crowd, and just how they flow in general. Please do not make this thread a debate over what dj’s truly “mix” or whatever people have debated over before. I just want to put some videos that I like that I hope you all like.

Also obviously the higher the quality the better but don’t let that limit you, and the videos should try to be shot from say a few feet behind them or to the side of them so we can generally see what they’re doing.

Here’s one I just found of Alesso:

Just youtube those pioneer djsounds shows. There’s lots of famous dj’s on there.

I see your Carl Cox and Raise you the one and only Roger Sanchez.

and for good measure; ill add the techno master Christian Varela.

Wow, that was awesome, I’ll definitely look into more of those… I learned so much I didn’t know in just minutes.

Lovin kissy sell out lately.

be-at.tv

You have to register or link a facebook account, and their site is really wasteful of bandwidth. But, uhh…yeah.

Dance Trippin TV en b@ TV, like mostapha said.

beatport live can be good too

I love how he is always doing something while he’s mixing, He’s never just.standing around.

Especially Laidback Luke one

The carl cox video has far more “How they play” than the BT article

Cut Chemist doing part of his Sound Of The Police set live with 1 turntable and a looper, then a small discussion on the progression of Djing, and finally a short 2 turntable set.:open_mouth:hmy:

Yeah, Beatport.com (follow them on Facebook) they have weekly (sometimes even more often) live broadcasts from their two offices. Sometimes pretty famous DJ’s stop by for a set. And the Pioneer DJ Sounds show is amazing quality… got to love the camera layout to see such great detail of the techniques being used.

Ustream has some good shows on. There’s a beatport show from the summer with Porter Robinson & Zedd which is canny good and Trouble & Bass recordings have just loaded some new stuff.

Cool mix with deadmau5

Probably the best collection of DJ video’s is on the FRA 909 Channel on Youtube.
Mostly Minimal centric but good to see different setup’s:

Deadmau5…DJing?..REALLY?

:unamused:
