What are your go to songs??

What are your go to songs??

Every once in a while, the crowd will get a bit dead/boring and you need a jump start.. List some of your guaranteed fav/go-to tunes that you know will get a response from the crowd.

I DJ in a top 40s club so forgive me for listing some pop songs… But it is what it is…

Bruno mars- locked out of heaven
Daft punk- one more time
Montel Jordan- this is how we do it

I have plenty more… Just seein what you guys will list.

if its like a house party, the jump around - house of pain, gets em every time. if im playing the club them maybe like save the world SHM. something everybody knows

Shufunk - Outrageous (Original Mix)
Twisted Individual - Bandwagon Blues
Rebel MC - Champion DJ (original Vinyl Version)
Sigma - The Jungle (Sub Zero Remix)

Ultra Nate - Free is an odd one that rocks top 40 nights, you can just bang it in anywhere to start the sing along mode

Duke dumont - thunder clap
Andre crom & teenage mutants - hanging on

+1 on thunderclap

Also

Entrance song - eats everything

R Kelly - bump & grind (waze + oddessy remix) - always a good one

Battle for the middle - julio bashmore

Freak’n out - mixline (chic remix)

Disclosure - what’s in your head/ latch/ whit noise

And more

show me love ---- tons of remixes out there for the right crowd.

If not, Jay-Z Jigga, or Dre Day.

rob base - it takes two
dee-lite - groove is in the heart
50 cent - in da club

Theme Song to The Partridge Family (Come on Get Happy)

Ah-Gah-Doo and The Birdy Song.

Not Superman Patch?

As much as I prefer Frankie’s original instrumental The Source and Candi Staton never fails no matter where I’m playing.

Jose Nunez - Bilingual (Jon Flores Undercool Remix)
Kölsch - All That Matters

Montell Jordan - This is how we do it - Classic !
50 Cent - In da club - Classic

Shania Twain - Man, I Feel Like A Woman - dancefloor gold right there, especially that lovely little guitar lick… guaranteed to get drunk ladies of a certain age on a work’s Xmas party up and throwing shapes like you’ve never seen…

(p.s. I can’t stand it, it just reminds of awful, awful work’s parties…)

Go to songs… mmm, depends, there are a lot I reckon… but off the top of my head, Stardust - Music Sounds Better, Together - So Much Love To Give and Ministers De La Funk - Believe, also any early 90’s big vocal house track normally works a treat.

suavemente - elvis crespo

Sully - Living
Lost - Disgustin justin
Kahn/neek - Percy
Dub phizix,Strategy,Skeptical - Marka

Gramatik - Don’t Let Me Down

Superstylin-Groove armada.

Always get’s people going!

Lately it’s been Green Velvet & Harvard Bass - Lazer Beams or Hot Chip - Flutes (A JD Twitch & Optimo Remix) in my house/techno sets..

But in terms of more classic tunes I still find Tiga - Pleasure from the Bass or Claude Von Stroke - Who’s afraid of Detroit always gets me outta trouble
