What do I do with my old CDJs

Surely I’m not the only one with CDJs that are collecting dust right now…

I’ve had my Denon DN-S3500s for about 4 years. I bought them for £900 ($1400) and they’re not worth a lot now. I use NI S4 and NI Maschine these days, so apart from the odd bit of Scratching, my Denon’s have become redundant.

I don’t really want to sell them for pittance, but then again I don’t use them.
What is everyone doing with their CDJs?
Am I missing a trick?

They’d look lovely next to a pair of 1200’s…

I have a pair too. I couldn’t find anyone to buy the pair for $300 with 20 extra platter clips. I still like them because it reminds me of R2D2. They do make good spares.

Keep them as spares or sell them.

That’s the problem with CDJs……either you’re spending a lot of money to upgrade every time something new comes out or they wind up worth nothing.

apart from pio CDJs. you can sell those for stupid money even years after you bought them.

Seems Pioneer is the only CDJ brand that holds second-hand value year after year…

yeah i agree with that, but then again i have a small & narrow console just fit for either 2 turntables or 2 cdjs & a mixer…guess what, i just love staring at my turntables now, slowly the cdjs are returning to their boxes :stuck_out_tongue:

ill pay you for them if you’re looking to part ways

i guess you can buy cheap cdj800mk2 locally at your place rather than importing from me in Malaysia :stuck_out_tongue:

yeah seriously. I was amazed to see even CDJ-1000s still going for well over $500. Tempted to sell mine but it’s a mk1. Still, I bought it of the floor at Guitar Center for $600; I could practically get back what I paid for it almost 10 years later, heh.

But until I’m ready to drop money on a -900 or -2000 it’s nice to have around.

Keep them…
