What should be in my DJ bag?
Aside from basic audio cables, power supply cables, laptop stand, USB cable. What else should I have? Like what extra cables? Some portable light, power cord, etc.

Having your own audio cables already puts you 10 steps ahead of the DJ’s I worked with. It’s amazing how many DJ’s don’t have simple RCA cables with 'em when they bring their gear.
Also.. always bring adapters. Headphone adapters, RCA-to-TRS adapters, RCA female-to-female, 1/8"(3,5mm) to RCA is also handy to carry with you. For an iPod for example.
Having the cables you need + 1 spare of each is very handy but the spare is not mandatory.
I like to use color coded USB cables to know what goes where and to see if there’s something I’m missing.
Extension cable is handy but should really be covered by the venue.
Portable light or like a USB light is a handy thing, also a flashlight can be of great use when setting up.

Pretty much every things been covered I’d say. You could possibly bring a small book of CD’s at a club if you really wanna be super safe, you never know what can go wrong. Not a necessity though. Make sure you have a flashlight of some sort though, it gets dark behind those mixers and it makes setting up much easier

Seriously, this stuff… what with all the high fives and fist pumps and hand shakes that you will inevitable do (cus they catch you off guard no matter how unfriendly you think you are).

Not for me… Im diabetic 
Glucose tablets, Dextrose is my pick-me-up. The sugar is absorbed quickly.
I used to drink 2 or 3 Redbulls a night and that was a contributing factor in the onset of my diabetes… that and lots of alcohol
better slow down then, anything after 3 hours im drinking 5/6 cans.

I would say a backup laptop if you are mobile dj.
you completely missed some rather major things, controllers and laptop… just saying I reckon it’d be pretty hard to play a dj set as a controllerist with a power supply and cabling.
or save yourself $1500 and just bring a few backup CDs
What if he can’t mix and beatmatch with cdj’s 
?
