What USB Soundcard/Interfaces are Cheap and Good

Hi,

I am looking for a USB soundcard for my Mac. I simply want to record mixes from my Dj setup and put them on soundcloud. Will i be able to get decent sound from a 30-50 $ soundcard? If so, please recommend a few

Thanks, and regards from Sweden!

The UCA 202 seems cheap and decent enough if you just need a line input.

save up some more if you want quality. in the long run, it will be all worth it.

The 2i2 is more oriented for recording from microphones, so it’s a bit excessive if all you need is a line-in.

As for the Xport, it seems to only have a mono instrument-level input which isn’t any use for recording a stereo line-level signal.

This: Lexicon Alpha Studio USB Audio Interface : Amazon.co.uk: Musical Instruments & DJ

Cost me 50quid, does exactly what is says and needs to do, I havent had no problems with it. Highly recommend it

As makar suggested, Behringer UCA 202 is dirt cheap and MAY do the job (check the reviews for sound quality when recording)
Unfortunately, there isn’t a lot of these simple interfaces when you just need a RCA ins & out and a 3.5mm jacks for mic and headphones.

I myself have been using the Creative SoundBlaster MP3 for over 10 years:

Actually, if you’re in europe i might be willing to sell it, PM me if you’re interested.
