Used pair of CDJ-400’s would be your best bet.
they look amazing, now how much would a mixer cost for it
Mixers can be $100 to $10,000… depends on what you want it to do. If you want a simple 2 channel mixer with no midi capability, then 90% of experienced DJ’s will say to get an Allen & Heath XONE 22. If you want something for scratching, then you want a Pioneer DJM-909 or other scratch mixer. If you want effects, then maybe something like a DJM-400 will be considered an entry-level mixer with effects. If you need midi, then look at some of the newer Denon mixers. There are a ton of variables to ponder.
Have a look at the Ecler NUO 2.0 and 3.0 as well. Really nice mixers at a good price. Much better than the pioneers around that bracket IMO.
if your into scratching you can get a Vestax PMC-05proiiivca for $300.
this with an Xone 22
I think the reloop rmp2 looks rather nice if you want something new.
im not into scratching at all so just main effects, which the cdj-400’s have alot as i was wathcing
if no scratching i dig the xones or eclers.
The Ecler Haks make incredible scratch mixers and the Ecler Nuos are excellent too if you drop in the eternal fader, which you would be doing with any mixer if you want to scratch.
Numark NDX800: 300-400 each
DDM4000: 300-400
Audio Interface: 100(A2DJ)/150(A4DJ)/160(A6DJ or 200 for the kit)/400 (Audio8/10DJ)
The DDM4000… Just look it up, TONS of info out there and good reviews. 4channel digital mixer with customizable EQ cutoffs (Make the eq like other mixers) >.> though its VU meters are odd.
Everything about that mixer is odd.
Or a Pro X Fade, or an Innofader …
I heard the Nuo cross fader fix only worked for the eternal fader?
Or rather I heard it was only officially fixed for eternal fader and couldn’t find any information about the other faders. Got any info I missed? ![]()
I have CDJ 400s. Great little set up. I use them with USB drives all the time and cds, but also plug them into my laptop for full working midi set up. They work perfect with traktor as well.
As far a mixer I actually used a DJM 400, which I really like. I was set up really nice with a few built in effects, and loop recorder. I was able to grab mine for about 400 when I got it a few months ago, but I am selling it cause I got a DJM 700 now which I am in love with.
If I didn’t already have those I would probably go with an A&H 22 or 32. Both look like solid mixers, and you can find them for a pretty good price. The only thing that deterred me from the 32 was the gain placement.
The A&H 32 has the gain knobs on the back which is annoying and the VU meters are pretty shitty if that matters to you. I really couldn’t live with it, as good as the rest of the mixer is.
CDJ400 and DJM400, use them in my mates bar, amazing for such small players.
