Which sound for which part of a (Big room) track ?

Yes yes yes, I know there aren’t rules for making music :roll_eyes:
But I think it’s very usefull for me if someone could give me some help with this ??!!

So that’s the basic structure of a song… so far so good… But now my question : Which sound should i use for wich part ?

Should i use a pluck, a saw, a piano or an arp ?!! I don’t have any idea ??!!:scream:

Of course, i need to discover it myself. But it would be awesome if one of you guys could help me a little ??!

Thanks ,
Casper Haanappel

I would suggest taking a song you really like, and maybe attempt to follow the same structure that it does. That’s a good way for you to learn.

Listen to your favorite songs. What do they use where? But it’s not just what sound they’re using, but where it is in the mix? Is it the lead, background, middle?

From there, experiment.

Ok thanks for your replys guys !
That’s what I’m gonna do

distorted kick, pryda snare, supersaw trancy synth, compress, compress harder, boom done.

It depends on the song. Like everyone else said, listen to your favorite artists. But that table isn’t exactly the perfect thing to look at because each song is different. It can be a 32 bar intro, drop, or break, then first section… like seriously, just listen to your favorite songs. It really depends on your style. Experiment and you will learn along the way.
