Will upgrading firmware cause my vci100 to not work with my old traktor 3 mappings

Hey everyone. Ive finally picked up the tool to flash my vci 100 up to the current firmware version. My question is my girl is still running traktor 3 on her laptop with my old custom mappings. She borrows my vci 100 as she cant afford one for herself. If I upgrade the firmware and create my own custom settings for traktor pro on my laptop will the old mapping file in her traktor 3 folder still get the same functionality when she has the VCI plugged into her machine, or will the firmware change things as such that the old mapping wont work?

dont take my word on this, but I dont think it will change anything really. the third fx button, might not work in t3 anymore, but thats really all I can think of. mainly this is because the fw interacts with the modifiers setup in ean’s mapping I think… maybe… haha.

you can use it. But when you want to use ur old tks made for 1.2, you need to boot the vci in 1.2 mode.
