Do you have kids?
I honestly thought the whole thing was a joke.
Im still holding out on that. Then again, they seem to be better than the average DJTT user
!
EDIT: These guys remind me of SHM, one guy is screwing with things, one guy isn’t doing anything, and another guy is going around trying to fix the mess the other two made.
I do.
…And I’ll teach her the same thing I had to learn on my own but didn’t realize until my adult life…
While it’s imperative to believe you can achieve anything if you ever want to accomplish your goals, there comes a time when you have to admit that you need work, and in the words of Socrates "I know that I know nothing, and in knowing nothing I now know one thing.
…And then there’s the harsh reality that maybe you’re just not cut out to do what you thought you were able to.
Shooting for the stars involves too facets, believing you can actually achieve what you want, but also knowing what your limitations are and understanding how to overcome them. You can’t ever identify your limitations or learn to overcome them if everyone is telling you how awesome you are, and by not listening to the criticism.
give props to this kids is like giving props to a kid for air guitaring to an iron maiden track and saying they have musical talent. one of them was EQing the mic input channel, with no mic plugged into it for . what were their names milli and vanilli? total crap!!!
my kid would get a smack in the back of the head for that crap.
Bingo!
I met Dan Tait today, the presenter doing all the gain adjusting. He made the very good point that although it was excruciating to watch at times for those of us who know what’s going on, for every one person wincing there are probably several young kids and teenagers thinking ‘I’d like to be able to do that one day’, and that’s a good thing.
A very admirable way of looking at it, imo.
ok here to comes…
I thought it was awesome they didn’t use sync!

I did better at their age. ![]()
I was so surprised that they could go from such an amazing show the previous week (Laidback Luke) to this… Did anyone watch the full thing to see if it got better? I stopped watching about 10 minutes in.
Regardless to clipping and delay effect overkill they aren’t bad for kids. Seen better, seen worse but at least they can beatmatch properly ![]()
That show is just a big promotional love fest for all things Pioneer…
Hmm the reason why i watched this because im at work and i needed music to listen to. here is my take
Pros
- good song selection. very standard
- good for them for being residence at clubs and stuff “this shows song selection is wayyyy more important then the mixing itself see the cons, most people don’t care how you mix just want to dance”
- has this much exposure while being so young
- they will learn as they go
Cons
- Why are you always twisting the wet/dry knob? you’re effect isn’t even going through
- playing out the whole song isn’t mixing, this boring, just like avicii sucks at life performances, i’d rather listen on my ipod if im going to hear the full song.
- why is the effect button always on? there’s more then just the 1st effect on the 900. but either way we can’t even hear your effect being added in.
- their hearing will be greatly damaged by 18, of all the red linings like crazy. hope they have someone at the clubs they play at adjust it for them.
conclusion - in my opinion any little kid can do this just if they had to own set of 350 package lol. what they are doing in the video is might as well start a song, go play video games for 5 minutes and go back mix in another song and repeat.
i agree with some of the comments above, the djsound show should be for more deserving dj’s. but then again.
I don’t understand why DJ Sounds would even premiere them. Like there are way more dj’s out there that actually deserve the chance to be up there. Promotion or not, they have lost some respect.
Sure they are just kids but agree with another poster here that if you play with the big guys you play by the same rules.
or “if your playing the game, you have to accept the results” something like that.
Also when people realize that many well known djs just fake looking occupied they will think all djs does the same thing
and in the end djing will loose prestige..
