Worst day at the Djsounds show
A minute in I was thinking âThis is the best DJSounds everâ. But that quickly turned into âtheyâve been cuing their next track for three minutes, twisting knobs left and right like theyâre flying a space shuttle, and are way into the red. Worst DJSounds ever.â
They sure have the choreography down, though. Theyâll be the next David Guetta.
Did you not enjoy it? I felt it decent, decent music choice i would give it a 5.5/10
Sorry for being ignorant but what were they doing for the first 90% of the song where they had two people vigoriously twisting knobs and effects.
To be fair, theyâre pretty good for their age, but that still isnât saying much⌠at all. I posted this on my facebook wall before I even watched it, and then immediately posted an apology to anyone that watched it. Iâm afraid that now my friends are going to be like âoh, is this what you do?â
Ugh I mean not for nothing good for them. But there are WAY more DJs that deserve to be on that then these two kids.
There really is alot of eqing a non playing channel.

Having the host turn down your master AND channel gains 3 times in 5 minutes. How embarrassing.
This is the âhigh self-esteemâ society we have created. They are not good DJâs and they should keep practicing. It not a good idea to make them believe they are great, when they are not. They would not make the DJ football team. Maybe next year.
I would love to meet their self-obsessed Dad/Coach. âDonât worry about that. Just act like you are a superstar DJ and no matter what happens, DO NOT stop twisting knobs.â
I saw these guys play at Mambo in Ibiza this year. I couldnt really see what they were doing behind the decks but the track selection was almost identical to the Avicci gig the night before.
HOWEVER.
How many 13 year olds can say they DJ in Ibiza?
this is not the worst djs. at least they seem to be having a loads of fun
Iâm not too sure but the fact that they have residencies and all that other stuff is prob why they would be considered for the show

You would dream to be in their shoes, now or when you were 13.
Still. It kinda takes away from the quality of the whole DJsounds concept. Carl Cox, Roger Sanchez, CVS aaaand 2 13 year old kids no one has heard of running an effect every 15 seconds.
But hey, if that is the direction the pioneer dudes want to take its their choice. I wonât be watching these things any more though, there is enough videos of kids DJing badly on youtube as it is.

Its not that they canât be into it and enjoy it. Kudos to them, and kudos to them for getting somewhere so young and quick. But it takes away from respect of many DJs in my opinion. Just because you are 13 and playing tracks doesnât mean you deserve more then someone who has been at it for 20 years. Its the whole gimmick thing and by putting them in the front channels for these things just undermines people who have been truly at work for these things building the scene for a long time. I mean there are a ton of other residents in Ibiza who have been playing forever there that are not on DJsounds, and may never be there. I personally feel the un-sung residents all over deserve this chance then a few talented kids who are not yet ready for the lime light just yet.
Whatâs all this ultra-liberal talk about the fact that theyâre kids? Theyâre playing on a global stage with the big boys and should be treated like such. Regardless of how old (young) they are. We wouldnât be doing them any favors to patronize them, pat them on the back, and say âgood job sonâ. Besides if weâre just going to throw them a bone because theyâre kids, then shouldnât we be doing that for all kids? In addition to that, what happens when they grow up and they still suck? Wouldnât they be shocked when they turn 18 and all of a sudden their adoring fans have turned on them for doing virtually the same thing theyâve been doing for years? Isnât the fact that theyâre kids how they managed to get so far in the first place? Well I think theyâve gone far enoughâŚWhatâs next, DJ of the year? Top paid DJâs in the world? Eventually even the ultra-liberal people saying âtheyâre just kidsâ will digress and become naysayers too.
If I saw them in their basement, twiddling knobs furiously on tracks that werenât playing, and touching platters of CDJâs that werenât even spinning, Iâd say âyou kids are awesomeââŚBut this isnât in someoneâs basement. Theyâre sharing the spotlight with some of the top DJâs worldwide. Itâs inevitable that something had to be said.
Kind of makes you wonder what it means to be a good âyoungâ DJ. What mistakes are people supposed to be making at a young age. The levels seem to me like the first thing you should figure. Uncle Rico or whoever is helping them learn shouldnât want their system getting fucked up with these kids playing so deep into the red.

Beyond that⌠they arenât that bad overall⌠Iâve seen plenty worse in club environments.
I agree with this, blame the producers of the show not the talent.
