the audio 6 is more reliable for me. no matter how much i tweak it, i can’t seem to get the x1600’s audio running smoothly. i am updating the laptop in a couple months so hopefully that makes a diference. could be a windows 7 issue.
even the occasional pop or glitch is unacceptable to me at a gig. the audio 6 just does the job.
yeah, when you have a Audio 4/6/8/10 at home, there is little sense in re-adjusting your Traktor settings everytime you come home from a gig when you can just plug RCA into a mixer 
(of course, internal soundcard does provide you with benefits such as recording in Traktor while mixing externally & syncing mixer FX to the BPM in Traktor)
when you think about it, buying a mixer with internal soundcard (Traktor certified or not) does save you a little money in the beginning but you still need to buy a external soundcard if you want to do gigs so… meh
yeah thats right, my mixer is not always our gig mixer so its also a convenience thing.
however, even if you don’t use the mixer’s card, you can still use the midi clock and other functions with no problems.
Thanks a lot for sharing this info. I was having problems recording into Traktor because it was recording everything I was doing (even cuing of tracks, etc), and I couldn’t figure out a way to record with 4 decks using nothing but my x1600. This advice worked! Thanks!
well increasing latency helped, so my recorded file is no more cracking… Now if I load any track to one of the decks it cracks at that moment or there is no sound for 1sec while it is being loaded.
I think that’s how I had mine setup. Here’s a link to my 1600 settings file. Be sure to do a backup of your settings before you try these.
Why does it says X1700 on the file name? Anyways the only problem I am facing is glitches while I load track on any deck, so the cracking I get when I load a track is being recorded as well.
If I wont be able to record externaly than I see no point of having the EFX section which will not work probably on internal recording. Plus if I can’t get it working properly with denon’s sound card which was one of the reasons I have bought this mixer it is really dissapointing then. Atleast they could warn buyers who uses windows that they will face these problems.

Not sure, but it was definitely a 1600. Are you at 96K? I never saw much of a reason to be at 96000K and always ran at 44100k instead.
Will be a Win 8 x64 system with 16gb of ram and MAYBE a SSD 
Yes it is 44100k. So seems like I found a solution. I disabled the multi-core support option and now there is no cpu load spikes when a load a track! Never thought of this cus I got a 3-core running laptop (amd).
The other thing is how to set up the latency on 512 or 256 using denon asio panel cus I cant select it accurately?

After you click on the slider to select it, you can change it stepwise (by a value of one) using either the cursor-keys or the mouse-wheel.
