xdj 1000 akai mixer help

hey guys i just bought xdj 1000s package with the akai amx mixer but its not stand alone mixer its usb powered
and has serato dj with it but serato says i need to buy a dvs package is there any way around this . The whole point of
xdjs was to get away from lap top djing for me .

As far as i can tell mate, you can run HID mode from the XDJ’s through to Serato with the AMX. As for laptopless DJ’ing i think you’d need to use a standalone mixer and Rekordbox/USB’s with the XDJ 1000.

If you not using a laptop, then a USB (Midi) mixer will not help you.

You need a stand alone mixer and use USB Drive \ RekordBox.
