Xone 1D OSX Drivers

Xone 1D OSX Drivers

Is anyone currently using a Xone 1D with El Capitan or even Yosemite? Apparently A&H have stopped making the drivers…

I saw a post on the Xone Facebook page saying that a workaround would be a USB to MIDI I/O cable and a 5V charger? Presumably the MIDI will work fine and the same as a USB cable would in the past, however I have no idea where the charger would come in?

Any ideas? Thanks

Edit: Problem solved. The unit needs power which comes in via the USB port from a wall adaptor.

ive had no issues with OSX and my 1D, used it since 2010

actually, just upgraded to el capitan and now my 1d is not working…

yeah OS X 10.11 has killed my 1d…its not even recognised, regardless of drivers

Pretty sure there was a firmware update for the 1D / 2D / DX a few years ago that enabled Coreaudio / Coremidi (driverless mode).

If you go into the OSX midi prefs and create a new configuration does the device show up ?

hi ,the last drivers for osx 10.9 working perfect that’s for what i don’t upgrade my macbook to 10.10 and higher

Hi, capitan has killed my xone 1d too, it is too bad this controller is very practical. Allen heath doesn’t offer any solution.

God, I sure as hell don’t miss traveling with those things… they were terrible to lug around. Those things were so break through back in the day, glad to see people still have them.

the only way they’re working ,downgrade your os on 10.9.5 max

if you want another one, I’m selling mine lol

This post is old but I found a solution to get the 1D working under 10.13 High Sierra with just the USB cable!

You have to use the latest driver that A&H provides, I know this is just for the older OS and won’t install directly but here is how you get it to work:

Right lick on the Xone 1D_2.2.4 installer and choose “show package content” it’s the second entry from the top. No go to Contents/Resources/105 and double click the Xone 1D_2.2.4.pkg

This will install the driver!!! :tada::thumbsup: Due to High Sierras safety features you have to allow the driver to be used in the pop up window that leads you to the system configuration. Just click: allow!

After a restart you can the see the working instance of the 1D in the Audio-Midi Configuration:

It works perfect with Traktor! Also the LED Output works!

Best regards,

David

for those that are interested, I got the 1D working in High Sierra (with the USB connection that is) by manually unpacking the .dmg file (latest 2.2.4 version), and placing files in the right places.

yes ,working for me to on “sierra” not plus ,because for my part my xone2D driver is just for ,waiting xone2D driver for high sierra

not sure what you’re saying!

like you i manually unpacking the .dmg file (latest 2.2.4 version), and placing files in the right places on sierra .

Been wanting to know for my now idling 1D..
To be sure: what are the right places you are speaking off? Any directions you can give me?

thanks!

Pkg

Hey! Could you upload or send the pkg file? I can only download a zip file, which has a dmg installer…

solved meanwhile:stuck_out_tongue:
