It’s just so not the same products, nobody can’t answer you without more details about how you do mix, what’s your current set-up, how do you plan to expand eventually, etc…
As a personal note, and whatever, the 3d is not in production anymore so I would be afraid to loose much in terms of value in the future. You better have a 4d as a different choice to compare to the DX (but once again, the above stays true - we need more details).
And by the way, 1200$ for a DX is way too much as it’s price has decreased recently (depending on your territory).
Yul is right completely different setups and the DX is $999 for the most part now.
sorry, i sold my cd-players, cuz i want to use traktor. i come from eu-slovenia. and the cheapest xone dx is for 900€. i am thinking about 3d because i can use it like a mixer without laptop. and dx is designed for serato …

I’ve used both, I mix minimal & Techno Not sure what you’ll be mixing, But the 3d is far better built.

Yeah xone DX is worthless without a computer fullstop
I’m using DX with Traktor and A&H’s presets files and its GREAT
3D all the way built like tanks much better than the dx

And why do you say you want to use traktor if you don’t wanna use laptop.

Xone DX could have been the ultimate peice of gear if it functioned as an analog mixer.
if you can afford it.. wait and get the XONE DB4
xone db4 is too exspensive…
i think that denon dnmc 6000 is the best controller (as analog mixer and good price) but it s to crowded for me
The xone db4 definitely looks worth the wait but does anybody know when it will be available or what the cost is?
