Xone K2 - Custom MIDI map issue, buttons randomly stop working

Having a strange one here.
I just started mapping a new Xone K2 for TPro 2 (Scratch Upgrade)
Using latching layers

Red Layer
16 buttons at bottom
Play Decks 1-4
Sync Decks 1-4
Tempo Bend Decks 1-4

every now and then deck C button stops receiving the midi command no light on or anything, a restart sorts it out but then it goes again. seems quite random

the only other mapping I’ve done is FX unit 1-2 on orange layer and Loops size and on for red layer encoders.

Happy to provide any additional information, any ideas?

I have just noticed this problem happening on my K2, on the 2 “big” bottom buttons, which are used as modifiers.
I have to remap the control for traktor to “wake up”.
Have not tried a program restart…maybe that solves the problem?

I had to restart unplug the k2 & reconnect it twice last week during a gig. It simply stopped responding.

I was only using the K2 on a mac with mavericks. Luckily my dj partner was able to cover my back both times.

Well after some testing, the bottom buttons tend to go wrong all the time when set as modifiers, it’s quite frustrating.
I’m using the Shift/Exit setup button as modifier 1 - all mapped correctly, the out works fine as lights up and the midi message is going through if traktor’s ctrl light is anything to go by but the functions dont seem to work.

I’ve pinged off an email to A&H to see if they can shed any light on the issue and will update when I find out.

Maybe some firmware update or something.

you could use that meanwhile to track the messages:

The K2 controller has proved not to properly refresh the output when used in Traktor. You can try fixing this by adding the Send Monitor State command and mapping it to your layer/modifier button. Hope that helps.
