I need a audio interface for my DJ setup and I have come across
the Zoom U-24 audio interface with 2 in’s, 4 out’s and headphone monitoring.
I would like to use for outputting two two decks in two separate mixer channels or using it for monitoring and main output with a dj controller without an AI.
It seems to have a good build and and I could use it for a few other things besides djing but I can’t find any info on the internet that anyone used this AI for this purpose, even thou they promote the device to dj’s in their video.
I was wondering has anyone here used this audio interface for djing and what are your opinions on the device?
Hello Patch, thanks for your reply and recommendation but I am more interested in finding out if anyone uses the U-24 with dj software.I have found some reviews on youtube but they are mostly focused on recording.
I have already looked into the Native instruments Audio 2 and other similar audio interfaces.
Hello Astromech, what is explained, and not fit for what purpose and why?
Could you be a bit more specific with your reply, I would appreciate it, thanks!
In the manual it states
“The PHONES/LINE OUT 2 jacks deliver output from the adjusted balance of computer playback signals 1-2 and 3-4”
The thing has two rca line outs, 1-2 and 3-4, the same as an Audio 2. Plus it has and headphone output with which you can balance the playback signals 1-2 and 3-4.
So from what I understand from the manual I can send deck A and deck B to two chancels of a mixer.
Then let’s say I use Traktor, a controller(without a AI), and the U-24 as my AI i can line out the main through 1-2 and my monitor through 3-4.
So I don’t understand why it does not fit purpose?
I would really appreciate it if you could explain if i am getting something wrong, thanks?
