hmmm. my understanding of the "bass music" umbrella term was covering stuff that was bassline driven.
so now it means everything that is a breakbeat?
ugh... all these new genres and categories are just exhausting trying to make sense of it.
especially when it's dopey vague terms like post-dubstep and bass music...

Thanks for all the artists!!! god, this is too much... im gonna have to just sit for a few hours and see what i like. As for the name, I definitely feel that the music is more RnB and Garage influenced. So calling it Post Dubstep is a little weird. I'll just stick to Future Bass for now i guesssss haha im sure it will change soon

There's a ton of podcasts to catch up on and I guarantee you'll hear some amazing tunes and mixes from the past, present and future of electronic music which is basically what's being talked about here.
I'd leave pigeon holing to the magazines, blogs, hipsters etc. because I'll doubt any of the producers mentioned here sit down and think 'Right, I'm gonna make a *insert hip genre name here* tune today'. They'll no doubt be taking influences from all that's out there and has been before but the state of the music scene, at least in our world, is so healthy that producers are doing pretty much what they want regardless of tempo, formulas or whatever and in the process making some amazing stuff.

Haven't checked out his full catalog but what I saw on BP seemed more on the lines of chill out, even though it's described as deep house on the site.
