Yup, I found K's post, there it is
Yeah, in my experience it goes like this:

    Thickest to Thinnest:

    White
    Black
Desolat (L.E. Marble effect made by Desolat)
    Clear
    Blue
    Neon (all)
    Red
7" (look cool, pretty useless though)

White track amazingly well but are not good for scratching. Red are the thinest and are really light and great for scratching.
I don't scratch and play straight house/techno so I'd benefit from heavier records since I find myself nudging them a lot. *However* I am physically weak as shit and lighter records are easier to spin back (for seeking/cueing purposes of course). :P

Enough threadjacking for now. More sick setups please!

Well, they were bad with the original firmware. After the firmware update they were ace.
Keep in mind though, they weren't intended as CDJ CD players, but like vinyl emulating CDs. So their behavior would be different from the other CDJ players.

yah the thing i cant get over is how terrible the sound quality is.. just playing a cd sounds like its coming from a clock radio.. then when u try to scratch it sounds like R2D2 from star wars.

if it wasnt for that they would be sweet.

He worked for a company that sold audio equipment. I got some RCA's made there (that still work 100% 7 years later....mic flex cable...and really nice ends) ...anyway...

They specialized in JBL Sound. HE was also the guy that threw winter Psytrance indoor parties, using a free JBL rig! I played a few of em...anyway....

    So he knows his kit!!!

Dunno what he was thinking....I still see them going up on Gumtree every now and then. Still wants like R10 000 for em or something crazy. No one wants em.....

That must be a shot in the ass.....
