anyone having problems installing? i downloaded 2.6 from the traktor site (even though service centre says im up to date with 2.5.1 installed)
but it wont initiate the installer, says i need to run from the original location or something
I'd imagine that is why the flux mode works with the jog wheel and scratching. When you press the jog, you are telling Traktor you are scratching. When you let go, Traktor then knows the scratch is finished and can jump successfully back to the "fluxed" position in the track. With a TT that wouldn't be possible. Hmmm.... A new product idea? Touch sensitive TTs? I have no idea if the flux mode would be worth it though.

You want the best FX jogs on the S4? Then try this mapping!

Sure, but what if you release the TC to play the sample you scratching?
That would then be the same speed and jump back...where you would want it to play the sample you are cutting.
So for instance, you set loop with foot switch and rub the TC. Once you let go and it is back to the original speed, you saying it then carries on playing at the Playhead.
But what if you were not done. What if you wanted to play the loop you just set and scratched, through for a measure and then pull the TC back again to continue your scratch trick?
This would fuck me around SO badly. Not sure that is how I would want it to react.

Whats wrong with just pressing the button to deactivate flux, therefore telling traktor to resume tracked position?
This way you can press the button, flux activates but the green track head is still in the same place as the live play head. Then you do whatever you want, scratch, loop, jump to cue, whatever so the play head moves away from the tracking head which continues on its original course. Then deactivate flux and it jumps back to tracked point.
Thats what we have ALL been saying all along bro.
LOL
CDJ's etc have touch sentitive decks. ON and OFF so it has the extra commands to control FluxMode in order for you to SlipScratch.
TC's wont give you that, so the work around that has been discussed over the last few pages (read back and you will catch up ;p ), is a foot switch to act as the ON and OFF. However, we have hit a snag. The Loop Set command does not let the PlayHead continue when its set to hold. When you rub the TC vinyl, it does not scratch the loop, it moves the PlayHead.
There are a few other commands that engages Fluxmode in a better way...but we have not gotten it to work correctly yet.

LOL....you right too!
Dont use CDJ's anymore, so totally overlooked that too.
So basically you can only do a baby scratch continouiously or that and a scribble etc....if you got to the master tempo again...it would 'release'.
Arg....thats not good.
This seems even further from being possible now.
I can understand it not working on CDJ's...but I cant see why it could not work with a TC and Footswitch controlling the release. I could just not understand that its not possible due to the way its coded or built and could have dependancies etc...
But it sure would be cool to control it with a foot pedal....PLEASE....I WANT IT!
