I would get an S2. It has jogs and comes with Traktor and a sound card. Learn how to mix and spend the money left over on music. Or, get an S4 and build around it.

For his purpose, that's not a great idea IMO. He can buy a laptop for the same price as an iPad that will run the real Traktor program.

I don't think he understands what the app can actually do and how he would use it. He wants 4 channels. The app doesn't even support it. It seems like he wants to build around an app in its infancy. He's much better off getting the real thing on a budget laptop.

OP. get some belt drives and a 2 channel mixer and call it a day.

I'm not reading 5 pages of this thread to find out if this has been answered but what exactly is the purpose of trying to use traktor dj on ipad if you are going to be using real traktor?

Aside from not being able to be synced all ipad dj apps are kind of a gimmick and not good for much other than messing around.

In order to do that you'll need to sync MIDI clock from Traktor to an iPad...
