The problem is when you go finer with a rotary encoder it gets much harder to make large movements. I'm very surprised NI didn't implement something similar to the SCS.3Ds where the touch strips act differently depending on how fast you move your finger, considering they fully support them. They seem to firmly believe that everyone should just convert to working in the box, all the time. Oh well.

I road tested the new X1 last night and was able to manually beatmatch no problem. We were playing back 2 back with another Dj on a different laptop & controller. I simply got the bpm near enough (i.e not exact) and kept nudging with the touchstrips to keep in time. Its good enough for me.
I've written a few bangers and played a few raves but have since sold out.

Yep and if you can't get the track exactly in time with a record you can just pitch down or up a touch on the 1200 or cdj. It will definitely make transitions easier for the guys just using a controller setup.

I cant see how to change the resolution of the fine pitch adjustments when pressing sync + loop encoder... it does it it increments of 0.10 but i'd like it finer i think... at least 0.05.

Any ideas? do you map it and then check the box override factory mapping?

btw x1 mkii is dope tho

Tried changing Tempo Range in Transport Settings? Also does the Mk2 not have a completely viewable+adjustable mapping like the Mk1 does?

Why is that a deal killer? You don't match pitches EXACTLY with turntables, and people have been beat matching on those for quite a long time. Hell, I don't match exactly when using CDjs either. That's what pitch bend is for.

Will try that when I get a chance, cheers

It seems to work out the box with no mapping or rather the mapping is blank.

Just at a glance it looks like you can add mappings of your own individually then over ride the factory settings for thatt command but not a full list of mapings a la the mk1.

I havent had a chance to try it yet was seeing if anyone else mapped it yet.

I do a lot of the time, on both 1200s and CDJs. As long as I have time I lock in the pitch to the point where I can do a 2 minute blend without having to touch to the decks. I'm not perfect 100% of the time, but pretty close.
