    Default DN-X1600 for 500$?

    Hey DJTT,

I just got an offer to pick this mixer up for 500, i want to use it in combination with 2 X1's. Does anyone have personal experience with this mixer? It seems like a very good deal but i know that the person selling it has quite some trouble with finding a buyer. So do you guy's think this is a reasonable price? tnx!

There are several users here that use the exact same configuration.
I have the smaller brother, 2ch X600 (I have no need for 4 channels) but have used the X1600 on several ocassions. The best bang for buck that you'll ever get, even at full retail price Has several features that even the DJM-900 doesn't.
Beware that its a 5 year old model so a new one is probably on the horizon.

Awesome mixer, and good price! I owned the DNX 1700 for a brief time and loved it. It's a great mixer to combine with two X1s. I assume the effects are the same and the ones on the 1700 were pretty good (though this unit only has one processor instead of two). Because it's an older mixer don't expect much support from Denon - they've publicly stated these mixers are "finished products" so there won't be any firmware updates or anything like that, but what is there is really usable; you shouldn't need much support for it.

I have been using a X1600 for almost 9 months. $500 for one in good condition is a good value. My biggest disappointment is that the Chroma Caps don't fit (well, they fit but are 90 deg off). The mixer is a big heavier than I was expecting, and it is a bit of a pain to haul to a gig without a rack or flight case.

The Firmware update was easy to do. Having the manual handy was helpful. I did have to adjust the sampling rate on the sound interface to get the sound stable when I first started using the mixer. After I got it dialed in, it has been stable ever since.

They offer the 270deg caps that fit Denon and A&H and I see they have 20% discount at the moment

I have the bigger brother the DN-X1700 and it's awesome. Traktor Scratch certified too. I use it with 1210s and an x1, what more do you need!
