Am currently using Traktor Scratch Pro Through an external mixer etc, the problem is, i can only control 2 decks at a time, or at least thats what i think, is it possible to get an internal mixer up for just decks c and d, ive tried setting the mixer in pref to internal but then i loose total use of the external one, Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated
I don´t believe its possible to mix internally and externally (the software do not allow it), that would involve having 2 master outputs from the software, one for the internally mixed decks and the other one for outputing unmixed tracks for your mixer. And even if that was possible it would pobably be a mess. I recommend either getting the required hardware for 4 decks (4 line mixer and 8 output interface), or map your controller other way so you can mix internally more than 2 decks. Anyways are you using a controller?
Well guys am using a pioneer djm 800 which i know is midi, but am also using a korg nano pad to control the effects etc, am using a mac tho which only has to usb ports, i got a 4 way adapter but the nano wont work through it. Am on scratch pro so ive got the audio 8, am using vinyl to control it but i also have a cdj 1000.
Your DJM is a 4 channel mixer. So you can externall mix all four decks. If you are controlling decks A and B with time code then you assign decks C and D to outs 5/6 and 7/8. You then plug those into two empty channels on your mixer, and use any controller to control them.
There is no need for internal and external mixing.
Sorry for sounding stupid, but do i need to buy some more multi core cables? c and d are assigned to 5/6 and 7/8 but am unsure on what you mean by pluging them into the empty channels? hows traktor gonna be able to control them?
