It sounds a bit ludicrous but I can’t decide whether I want to get an audio 6 vs an audio 10.
I know I want one of the newer interfaces because I want the new Direct Thru feature.
I have quite a few friends who own analog DJ setups. 2x 1200’s and 2x CDJ 1000’s are quite common, so I would like to have the Audio 10 for the extra channels but I personally don’t need the extra channels.
However I really dislike the audio 10 needing a power supply and I also like the audio 6 being smaller and weighing less.
I definitely need at least an audio 6 though as I’ll be using timecode with my TT’s + the 3rd IO’s will have Itch going through it via a twitch.
Do you want an interface, or a sound card? If you’re looking at interfaces (for production), I love my Kontrol Audio 6. If you’re looking only for DJing, then you can actually talk to JesC if you decide to get the Traktor Audio 10, since I believe his is on the market.
You want an audio 6 dude (like me) the power supply is optional but you need it if you wish to use the direct thru feature. only had mine a couple weeks so havent experimented with that yet.
I’m assuming you own a 4 channel mixer since you are considering the A10 so, why use the Thru feature instead of plugging it directly to the mixer? an A4 would suffice in that scenario.
But if a big selling point is the thru feature and if you have to plug in the A6 to use the thru feature why not just go head and get the 10 because you’re going to be plugging it in anyway.
