Ableton Help
I figured I would post on here because I might get a faster response but recently I purchased a launchpad. I tried to setup a drum rack in ableton using the launchpad edition however it won’t let me move a drum rack over to the midi track. Anybody think they could help me?
How did you create the drum rack?
Personally, I drag over teh “Drum Rack” text over to a MIDI tracks. This drops an empty rack on that MIDI track. I then drag the samples I want in that rack into the rack spaces on teh bottom left corner of the Ableton window.
That’s how I create them and neevr had any problems. Though nowadays I use the by far superior Kong in Reason 5 rewired into Ableton, sending the MIDI notes from Ableton to Reason and the audio back from Reason into an Ableton Audio Track.
Yea it wont’t let me drag the drum rack over to the the midi track. So I can’t create one at all. Also none of the presets will let me add to them either.
just double click on the drum rack instrument and it will create a track for it with it in it 
I will give that a shot but I feel like there is some setting or something didn’t load right. Thanks for the tip
stupid question but do you get drum racks in the LP edition, is it not really a stripped back version with less functionality?
i dont know as I already had ableton suite 8 before getting mine so just hooked it up to that!
