You’re probably not going to ever come across a better deal on it than the one they have right now with the free upgrade to 9. There are seriously so many things you can do with Ableton that I really doubt you’ll end up regretting it.
i suppose im thinking of Ableton Suite, which i mean as a produce dont you want? Its like $700 + taxes, thats and expensive startup for hobby which could become a paper weight if you dont like it. Correct me if im wrong but the demo is fully functional minus the ability to save, which really limits what you can do unless you sit down and write full tracks in one session.
I was talking about Suite, too. Suite is of course what a producer would prefer.

If you can save files with the demo then, yeah, by all means the demo would be the best way to go. Honestly its been a while since i had the demo and i just cant remember at this point heh
