Ack! Cant get my scratching back!

Well Im almost done remapping my RMX to my tastes, alll thats left is to get the jog wheels capable of scratching, but I dont know how to do that. I set them to scratch and all they do is fast forward at an alarming rate. So if someone could from start to finish walk me through this, Id be in your debt.

Play with the sensitivity and try changing the input type.

Are they touch-sensative?
(eg, hold the jog wheel and the mp3 holds like vinyl or vci)

they’re not touch sensitive, but you might have them set to cd-jog mode, which is the lame.

I gave up on scratching on my RMX, since is just doesn’t feel right. Maybe when I’ve got the cash for an ns7. dream

Nah they aint touch sensitive at all. I guess my question is: In order to make the jog wheels scratch, TSI assignment is SCRATCH?

Seriously considering one as I can run my decks through it too. You had any issues with it?

Well, you need to have an assignment turn Scratch On first. Then you have a TSI assignment set to Scratch.

So I need a button that turns scratching on? and another that says ok when scratching is on, the jog wheels can scratch?

Yeah like dvls said you would need to map a button specificly for scratching, you hit it when you want to scratch and hit it again to turn off scratching. i wouldnt recommend it though, you really need touch sensitive jogs if you want to psudo scratch properly.

Set the wheel to JOG-SCRATCH/TEMPO BEND, Interaction Mode DIRECT, Type of Controller JOGG (3fh,41h). You will need to set two commands for the wheel, direct INC and direct DEC. Set the sensitivity to your preference. Forget about the scratch button. This way when track is playing the wheels act as pitch bend, and when the track is stopped the wheels switch to scratch mode. Track is playing, quickly tap PLAY/PAUSE and you can wiki wiki to your hearts content, press play again and you are back to normal playback.
I set my sensitivity to 13% and acceleration to 3%, but if scratching is your thing you can set those higher.
