They seem like a bargain price. Also, from looking at the pic, it looks like there 1 USB 2.0 connection and the 2 pads are actually daisy chained already.
Would these therefore be a decent investment as the brains for a mod controller?
What about if you had 2xPS2/2xUSB Dualshock controllers? How many analogue (pots/faders) could you have then?
I’m considering making a controller with a 4x4 grid of arcade buttons, so the USB controllers could handle that, but I’d like to add in faders and knobs if possible…
2 controllers would give 24 buttons, so I could have my 4x4 grid with some buttons left over for navigation…
Can’t see why 2 double gamepad’s wouldnt work. Sometimes you just have to dive in and have a go (It’s the best way to learn things)
If you only want 24 buttons, 2 pots and 2 sliders you will be able to do that with 1 double gamepad
The gamepads are cheap enough online but trust me that price will soon shoot up and up when you start adding arcade buttons, pot’s and sliders plus delivery charges.
I actually have a set of them that are unused in my house! I did assess them last night. However, my laptop initially recognised them as Logitech controllers, but then failed to get any drivers for them.
How would I get them to work on my Windows laptop as MiL0’s thread says Windows picked his up.
I also have a set of Scene It Xbox 360 infrared wireless controllers, but Windows doesn’t seem to pick them up either!?
Also, there’s 5 buttons per controller = 20 buttons between them.
For anyone interested, I got confirmation off the eBay seller that there is just the 1 USB connector and the 2 pads are already daisy chained.
Therefore, open them up, take out and de-solder the existing buttons and you have a 28 button brain consisting of 2 gamepads daisy chained ready to go as far as I can see with a USB 2.0 plug and play connector for Windows ready too.
