I’ve bought one of these just to see if there was anything that could be done with it and I’ve been pleasantly surprised. The circuit boards that are inside them are very easy to solder to and you could quite easily get rid of most of the rest of the controller. If anyone is really interested I can post photos later.
If they are used with the USB adaptor that I found on Ebay then you can have 8 analogues and 28 buttons for about £12.00. Use this with any of the MIDI software conversion software programs and you could end up with a nifty controller for a minimal outlay. 4 controllers (2 usb ports) will give 16 analogues and 56 buttons - sounds pretty good for £25.
I found this one at a flea market for $8. I’m waiting for my ps2 to usb connector to come in so I can start working on it. It’s got some good arcade style buttons. Can’t wait to jump in..
That looks like really nice arcade stick. PLEASE DON’T DESTROY IT for DJ use. You can get good arcade buttons from Dealextreme for less than 1$ a button delivered.
