AKAI MPK Mini - Knob Mod

2 Questions:

First off, does anybody know if it is possible to remove/replace the knobs on an AKAI MPK Mini? If you do, any words of advice would be greatly appreciated!

Secondly, what knobs what you reccomend buying if you were going to replace the one the the MPK?

Knob specs

Ok, for those who care, they are 6mm flatted short shaft potentiometers. I found a great replacement knob for them here:

The same company had others but I liked the long rubberized look with red indicator. I paid all of 4 dollars for a set of 8 plus shipping and they fit perfect and work great.

I got a bag of 50 of those exact knobs from a Chinese seller on eBay for less than $10 recently… have a look in my “CDJ2000 controller” thread in my sig below for the link :slight_smile:

i just put some cromacaps from the dj techtools store they kinda bottom out but you can kinda ajust them. they look great

Yes they come off. Just a note any of the Knobs that will fit Korg Nano serries we’ll fit the MPKmini and vise versa. I actually just took a red paint pen and colored the white stripe red.
