Alternative sound card

Hey DJTT

I was just wondering are there any good alternative sound cards rather then the norman Audio DJ series, numark, and reloop? Im looking for a good 4 channel out sound card but i dont need the 4 ins that the audio 8 dj has.

Im in the same boat… I found one I like but I need the inputs… plus its firewire

What about the ESI Gigaport HD? It’s got 8 outputs, and only costs $120. No inputs for running timecode or recording your set, but for mixing 4 decks externally it’s easilly the cheapest option.

As a person who has owned both the numark virtual vinyl sound card the djio while they are good they are very basic so if your after top class sound i wouldnt recomend a numark soundcard also they only have 2 ins 3 outs (the virtual vinyl soundcard) and two outs (djio)

I must say iv heard nothing BUT good things about the Gigaport HD

But its got 8 individual outs…can i put two together and run them to a mixer?

why not just get the audio 8/traktor skratch pro package? pretty sure they’re still on sale everywhere till the end of the month for half the regular price.

mono Left + mono Right = 1 stereo pair

8 mono outs = 4 stero pairs

Are you going to play only at home?
If so, you can get a cheap 4 outs (2 stereo outs) and route them MONO to your mixer, I think that would work OK for home use..

I don’t know because I never tried but I wish I could try with my Numark DJIO, it has 4 outs, it should work, right?

Audiofire 4, has the best sound quality for the price. Firewire tho.

Yeah im interested in that ESI. It looks like it will do the trick
