Any festival/club DJs in here?

Hey guys,

Wanted to hear about your experiences. How did you get started, what was it like doing your first couple of shows. How did you get your gigs? Ever have something unexpected/accidental happen during an event like electrical outages, someone spill liquids on your equipment, etc? What were your most embarrassing moments? What were your most rewarding moments?

Yeah. We’re all late 30s, with 20+ years’ experience, so we thought “fuck it”, found a venue that would give us a chance and ran with it. To be fair, we all have creative skills to help run things (one of us has 3D design, another built the PA cabs from scratch, I am a writer, we all have graphic design experience).

We’re actually kind of between venues at the moment, after a mutual split.

I kinda grew up into it. Started out in the rave scene then branched out into the club scene and local gigs. Now I focus on corporate gigs (for income) and the rave scene (for artistic expression). I’ve played a few festivals (2008-2011), but never enjoyed the experience, so I stopped seeking those types of bookings.

I could go on and on for hours, best thing to do is find me on social media and message me.
