Anyone use Launch Control with Traktor?
Bought a Novation Launch Control. I want one of the arrow keys to be a bank change so for example I hit arrow key forward and I get the CC or note values of the pads to increase to a new set so I can map the buttons to different things. Can’t see in the Launch Control editor how I can make the arrow keys effect what CC or note values the buttons are. Any help appreciated.

I don’t think that changing hardware layers wouldn’t work by pressing arrow buttons. Instead you need to hold down the template button and hit a pads to select one of eight assignable banks of control.
However, Setting one or two modifiers in Traktor can offer the same functionality you’re looking for. Let me know if you wish to know how and I’ll give you an example.

Ah, that was the key. Hold user bank and hit a pad changes the midi channels so for example User-2 is midi channel 2. Cool! Thanks! Now I got 1 button FX, Macro FX and various FX selectors all mapped up.

Will do. Still figuring out what I wanna put where. I only have 4 1-button FX for build ups so far and I mapped my fave Traktor Macro FX to User-2. Not sure what I’ll do for the other 6 template spaces I have available. Perhaps take inspiration from the Tekken maps. Only downside to this controller is no center indent for the knobs.

Hey bro, that’s pretty easy to test and figure out velocity value for each of the color ranges.
You can simply grab the MIDI RANGE value with a mouse and drag it up or down. While going trough the value range (0-127) you should see the LED display for each individual value setting. Hope this helps on a way… 
Thanks. It’s weird Novation has a resource for programmers with hex codes and such but not something simple for end users.

If the firmware treats the MIDI OUT in the same way then this could be good reference for Launch Control as well.
Yep I think the color coding is the same. However I’m having issues with the LED in that I can get the LC to light but it always stays lit no matter if I press the button or not.
*Never mind. It’s all done with modifiers. Gah I hate figuring out modifiers.
