Apple's Logic Pro X

Apple’s Logic Pro X

It has been announced!

Just now that I was going to attempt learn music production in my Logic Pro 9, now it has a new version for $199 :disappointed:

Should I buy the new version and start learning on the newest software or should I stick with Logic Pro 9 while I’m learning and then when I master it, upgrade to Logic Pro X ?

Functionally they are pretty similar, so you should be fine with Live 9. Besides, none of the online tutorials will be using Logic X yet anyway, so it might be easier.

Stick to what you have, only upgrade if you NEED the extra stuff.

It’s 64 bit only; no 32-bit compatability, no 32-bit program bridging, no upgrade pricing.

I’ll stick with version 9

$199 has usually been the upgrade price, so it’s not really any different than before.

Quick review after a day of heavy use:

Nice review, however the non 32 bit plug-ins part does scare me.
