The system of organization is through playlists, and the search functionality is great. So it’s easy to set up a “crates” style of play if that’s what you’re looking for.
It IS slow to analyze internally - but at least that option is available to you. Stanton will have the offline analysis tool available VERY soon, and you can use the online analysis to handle small batches of music.
The decision was made to include the functionality, but limit it in such a way that it was lower priority than any performance oriented processes. Stanton could have opted for a faster processor, but that wold have increased the cost substantially.
This is another feature that was talked about but not implemented because the target cost was $499.
Also, keep in mind that the SCS.4DJ was developed with the ability to be easily updated. There is a good possibility that you’ll see updates that not only address problems, but also add new functionality.
