I listened to your mix with my GF, we both DJ house. Mostly my feedback, but some of hers. We listened on my macbook speakers. Here’s the feedback.

  • Thanks for the tracklist!

  • Track selection is not my favorite. Too many tracks with very repetitive vocal samples. My GF called one of the tracks “Nasty” and I’m pretty sure not in a complementary way. Started out with repetitive vocals and ended with them. Not enough instrumental tracks mixed in for my taste.

  • Levels were generally ok. It sounded like the mix was done with sync, so phasing was generally fine. However it seemed to take you a very long time to mix any given track, and I didn’t hear a lot that sounded like you were “in the mix.” When tracks are this.. “tracky”.. for lack of a better word, I definitely want them to be mixed more quickly and actively. Phrasing in the mix was essentially not noticeable except for one or two times when it sounded like a record was about to run out. Energy level started and stayed at about an 8/10 for the whole mix, I prefer more of a journey over the course of an hour long mix.
