Audio 8, 1200M3Ds & Kontrol S4…
I would like to run my Kontrol S4 (which I just purchased from here), my 1200s thru the S4, but I don’t see any reason for my Audio 8 and my huge mixer (which I don’t want to use b/c of space). I will miss my Audio 8 tho. Can anybody give me any advice as to how I can use my Audio 8 b/c it is my understanding that it is no longer necessary b/c of the time coding capabilities of the S4 and b/c the S4 has a soundcard.
Your 1200s will run straight to the S4. I guess you could use the audio 8 next time if u change mixers or for outside gigs which u wanna run TSP on
I could use ur A8 to hook up four turntables, set it as my audio device, route the master out from the A8 to the deck D input on my S4 with the “Thru” swithch enabled so I can still use my balanced Mogami 1/4" TRS to XLR and have 4 decks with timecode!
You can only connect 2 turntables to the Audio 8 as it only has 2 sets of phono preamps.
I think you could get around that with an inline preamp. Nice call though, I didin’t know that.
