Audio Kontrol 1 & Latency Settings
I have the audio kontrol 1 usb sound card for my macbook pro, vestax vci100 and traktor 3.
What is the best latency setting to use?
Dont have that exact equipment but personally i think 8ms is fine. I never like to set mine two low because i fear that it will require to much from my computer (even though in theroy my computer can handle it with no problem) Thats just me though. Though i could be wrong…
Nobody here can really answer that for you. Every system is different.
It really depends on a lot of factors (including how intensive you’ll be with effects, how many tracks you’ll be playing at once, your CPU load, etc. etc.. Just test it out. I usually try low and just go higher until it feels comfortable.
Once I started really playing with effects everything changed, and I had to raise it a little.
