I listened to this mix a while ago while taking a shower and then today while grocery shopping. I enjoyed it both times. My only slightly critical feedback is that it was too short. I started raving out and then it was over.

Thanks for posting, and keep at it!

lol yeah, well these are just promo mixes XD I dont want to use all my time up on my SC

Exactly! What’s the point in doing a short mix? It feels unfinished and thrown together with a half ass effort.

And there’s no excuse about storage when mixcloud has UNLIMITED storage.

Dude get over it thats all I see you do is complain about Short mixes. That’s kind of what people do these days is short mixes for the masses. get over your self your not that special

So you’re going to lower your standards just to please the masses? Don’t you have any artistic integrity or even self respect for that matter?

And how often do the “masses” get it right anyways?

As soon as I stop seeing them I’ll stop complaining about them, simple as that.

agreed

i can only do short mixes as well.
I have a crazy busy work schedule mix when i can sometimes its for 2 hrs straight sometimes its for 20mins

good job man on the mix

Thank you STPE. and theres nothing wrong with short mixes seriously . Im not changing anything this is the style that I grew up in so get over yourself about artist integrity and all that bullshit . If your not pleasing your followers then why the fuck are you doing it ? see my point

I run a supplement company during the day, just because my favorite and best supplement is “this” doesnt mean i lose my integrity or i am wrong because i sell a diff product bc people want “that”

do what you playboy

Why should you have to change to please your followers? Are they really your followers then if you’re not sticking to who you are and what you want to do as an artist?

Sounds more like a sellout than anything else.

A few things here.

One, you really can’t compare business to art.

Two, is this a company you yourself started and running, or where you brought in to run it and make it profitable?

your an idiot. to do anything it cost money.
are you stupid enough to where i have to explain this further?
if i create art..paintings music, etc it will either cost me money time or both.
Do you see where this is going.
if people dont like my “art” and its costing me money to do it and time i will no longer to be able to make my “art” until i do something to make more money to support it.

You made a statement about liking product X but having to sell product Y, and that’s fine. You have a business to run so it make sense and you have owners who are paying you to make sure they make money.

But you’re trying to compare it to art, something that is very personable and supposed to reflect who and where you are at the moment and that’s not something you should let others influence or change one way or another.

And who cares if people like or don’t like your art? For real artists it doesn’t matter, it’s something they feel like they have to do and get out there for the world to see regardless of people liking it or not.

No one ever said art is cheap though. It costs money and sometimes people have to make sacrifices, large and small, but they do it so they can continue to make the art they love and feel passionate about.

If your a DJ for the sole purpose of making money and just wanting to please anyone and everyone then just stop as you’re ruining it for people who genuinely want to do it for the right reasons.

Like I said, art is not a business, so you can’t compare the two.

no one likes you.

My sole purpose is not to make money. This is merely my style of doing a certain thing., virtually its al lthe same. I have fun doing it and my followers like it, that’s all the matters . what your saying right now is Im not a aloud to be a dj because I want to do something and please my fans at the same time and sir, that is entirely not ethical , thank you and good day

So, that’s your response? Would expect as much from a simpleton who can’t think for them self. Instead of trying to come back with an intelligent response you revert to insults.

No, I said if you’re just doing this for money and not for the love of it, then you should stop.

And it seems your mix would have benefited from being longer according to Awesomer.

well then I will do what I see fit. Not much into mixing these days anyway, Im focusing on producing

Do you really have nothing better to do with your time then flame people who do mixes under an hour, use tunes that you deem “too commercial and mainstream” and insult their artistic integrity for wanting to please their audience with their work?

I feel like all this talk from you about “doing it for the right reasons” is kinda flawed, because yeah, if your into what you do, and you do it because its what feels right to you thats all well and good. But, NOTHING is better than the high you get just knowing you are influencing a crowd or a group of people through what you are doing, be it through listens, followers, or by rocking a dance floor.

Personally? To me, music (listening/mixing/creating) is an addiction, im constantly chasing that high of that next big track, the perfect mix, even seeing one person having a FANTASTIC time as a direct result of what I am doing.

AND, on a side note… You said in another thread that its “constructive criticism” … i disagree, you’re just being critical for the sake of it. so if you dont have anything constructive to add, then bite your tongue. because right now? the only thing you’re accomplishing is making an ass outta yourself.
