Best ever? Not sure about that. Its just another opinion, but closer than the original post i think,hahaa. My opinion of course.
I have the original of illmerica, its not bad, but in no way the greatest, probably not even the greatest of last year when it was released.
That sounded like someone playing a sax over the original song…

but you hear the sample all over the place in many house tracks…
^^^ sure, i was giving him a bit of a hard time. obv, even the track as a whole has been played in many house sets.
nevertheless, compared to the “house music” created in chicago in the 80s with their powerful kick drums (and snares or claps on the 2 and 4), the drum programming in “i feel love” sounds soft to me.
I have a hard time saying “this is the best Incert genre song of all time” about anything I hear, it’s to absolute. Easier to say I’m really feeling this right now.

Ah, but ‘I feel Love’ preceded house by several years, although they used to smash this a lot in Chicago. It’s the synthetic bastard child of disco. So maybe ‘proto-house’…
