Best software for making Youtube videos

Hey guys.

I wana make some Youtube videos for my tracks that I’m making.

Can anyone recommend me some simple software for mac that I can use?

I dont wana do anythin fancy, just have my track playing and a few images appearing on the screen.

Leme know.

Microsoft Movie Editor.

imovie

Why not just use iMovie?

nvm what I said… I dont read everything sometimes

Ah good point, just got my mac a few weeks ago…havent tried it yet…is it to just use that you think?

imovie rocks. its so good they decided to replace the new Final Cut Pro with it.

i made this pretty basic movie a few months ago with the last verison of imovie(one that shipped with the mid-2010 mbp):

you can use quicktime to do a video capture of whatever you’re working on in your computer. and then integrate the video from another camera into imovie with the screen video.

syncing the audio isn’t that hard either. just takes some practice.

iMovie is great… very easy to use, but allows some rather complex editing if you choose.

U sure?

that was my not so subtle stab at the new Final Cut Pro X. :disappointed:

Ahh lol - soz a bit slow today - most days actually

I think that was sarcasm.

for short easy to create movies, imovie.

for more professional movies, Final Cut Pro.

final answer! it’s as easy as that!

Premiere Pro is also good

Comes with the Adobe CS5 Master Collection

iMovie is fine.

i was going to say this too (before i read the op)
but i was also going to add: make sure you use a light blue background with white comic sans text, or black background with red text.
LOOOOOOOOOOOL

SCREENFLOW.

This allows you to record from your webcam camera (built in or external) and what is happening on the screen.

You are then able to play with the 2…by having one video playing within the other,. in a smaller window.

So you will be able to see Traktor moving etc and see what you are doing\playing etc.

Its pretty damn nifty…

I will save that name sara!

SCREENFLOW

Can you record the record output of your mixer directly to it by the microphone input of your notebook?

Can you record a microfone in a separate channel for insights on your performance?

Would be golden

yeah thats why the professionals like myself are staying well clear of it! i’ll not be changing from FCP7 anytime soon! Although i did buy Motion 5 which is pretty cool, i like the new’ish interface
