Best studio monitors/speakers for under 200$?

$200 a piece or $200 a pair? Don’t think you’re going to find much for 2 bills a pair, but JBL LSR305’s are bad arse for anywhere from $119 (sale price, not sure if it’s still available at that price) to $150 per speaker. KRK Rokit’s are also in the price range, but the JBLs blow them out of the water IMO. I’m sure there are others in that price range per speaker as well, but I’d really recommend the JBLs based on all the reviews I’ve read and the fact I own them and like them a helluva lot better than the Rokit’s I had.

I bought my pair of Rokit 6’s for $175 on CL. Like new and came with the Auralex pads. Give CL a shot.

You’re better off saving the extra bit of cash instead of getting overly excited and just buying anything

Mackie’s are great for the price.

I live in sweden, CL is not as popular here, if i’d buy anything from the US shipping would cost like more than the thing haha :slight_smile:

I use a pair of Monoprice Studio monitors. They cost like $180 for a pair before shipping became ridiculous. They’re pretty good. I haven’t had any problems with them. They’d sound better if paired with a sub but that’s a discussion for another day

I have Mackie MR-5s. Though some might regard them as not adequate, it came out top of it’s price range for me.
(Compared about 40 sets, and pumped several of our own projects through them. Mackie MR-5s came out top, with Fostex on second place.)
