BRAND NEW! Behringer CMD DV-1 MIDI Controller - Great for Traktor / Ableton
Hi guys,
This is probably the first time you’ve seen this unit up for sale…
I recently played at the Behringer Audio Perfomance Booth at 2013 NAMM Show. The controller is completely mappable, but I can provide the mappings that came from Behringer as well as my own mappings for Traktor and Ableton.
I thought this unit worked great for transport control as well as mapping effects combos and etc. I’m actually going more into DJing with Ableton (I play currently on CDJs at our residencies) and getting away from Traktor. This controller works for Ableton, but I was thinking of a VCM600 or APC40 to have an all-in-one solution that I can take around with me.

I played for them and was offered a unit to test out and keep. I’m changing setups to something that’s more of a all-in-one solution for the way I play out on CDJs and Ableton.
Thanks…I also have the PL-1 platter as well but I’m using that at the moment for some cool, expressive effects control!
These controllers are rock solid and they’re extremely easy to map anyway you want them really. For example, the DV-1 and its many knobs can really come in handy to map effects, filters,
and EQs to…
I’ve had some fun using it to cue juggle, loop juggle, and just getting creative with the effects (used with Traktor)
Yeah, mapping the FX knobs to a jogwheel and mapping the buttons to the touch note is an AWESOME way of controlling certain effects; Beatmasher and Flanger, for example
I’m not going to try to stop this sale, because it’s obvious I didn’t make myself clear at NAMM. But these were not meant to be resold. These are pre-production models - not final production. You won’t get software, service, or a warranty.
Do you know what these will run when released and is it a good add on for a dj with a midi controller already or just for the dj using cdjs and tables? Thanks!
I honestly didn’t get that part of not being able to resell that was given directly to me. We’re keeping the PL-1 and have some awesome mappings coming out for it.
However, the DV-1 didn’t fit into our workflow when we’re playing almost 99% from Rekordbox. We’re resident DJs in LA and we have to be mindful of what we play on as this is somewhat turning into a side job for us.
The product is excellent and I think it’ll serve a better purpose who’s integrating more MIDI in their live performance. For us…it just didn’t work.
