Brand new noob on hardware and setup/connections help

Sorry for the stupid question but I’m a brand new starter and have no idea what I’m doing. I’ve been producing for a while but never really had DJ gears so not quite sure if I’m going about this the right way :disappointed: . Below are my specs:

SPEAKERS:

  • 1x Prodipe Pro 10s V3 Active Subwoofer
  • 2x Prodipe Pro 5 V3 Active Studiomonitors

DJ GEARS:

  • 2x XDJ 700
  • 1x DJM 800

I managed to hook up RCAs from the sub’s input to my DJM and then RCAs from my DJM’s two channels to my XDJs. Something I noticed was the moment I turned on my speakers I can hear this really loud consistent static noise. When I start playing music from the XDJs I can hear music through my speakers. But the static noise is still there. Im not sure if i’m hooking them up incorrectly or if you guys might know what could be causing the noise. Thanks!!

Make sure the XDJs are connected via the LINE, not PHONO. Also, use the XLR from the mixer main out, to the sub, then from the sub to the monitors.
