Broken Amplifier?

Broken Amplifier?

Apologies if I’ve posted this in the wrong place but I was wondering if anyone could offer any advice.

I recently bought some Pioneer DM40 which I believe have a built in amplifier. I plugged them into an old Numark DM1002X mixer I have and they worked briefly but I turned the volume up far too quickly and the LED lights reached all the way to the top of the red section.
Now when I connect the mixer to the speakers, the powered speaker doesn’t give off any sound and the slave speaker gives off distorted, un-amplified sound.
Have I broken the amplifier by turning the volume up too far? Or is it a problem with the mixer/other hardware? They work fine with input from a phone etc just not when connected to that mixer.

Thanks in advance

Do you use a different connector for the phone and the mixer?

Yeah I use the same cable

If you can get audio from another source using the same cables and connectors, it’s the mixer that isn’t working. Try the mixer with a different set of speakers (like hifi or PA).
