Can the Akai AMX be used with any crap cd player?

I’ve never seen this question here, correct me if I’m wrong.

Could the Akai AMX be used as a 2-channel mixer with any cd-player to work with serato sl?

are you asking if you could use a cheap home cd player for timecode? or just a cheap cdj clone?
