Computerless Recording?

Computerless Recording?

I’ve got dn hs5500’s and a x120 on the way, so if someone wants to remove my DVS thread feel free. But with this, I have no idea how I can record. I understanding mastering a mixtape would involve real software, please, but there’s got to be a way I can record a few different tracks in moderate quality for later playback and rewrite without a computer. Am I just going to buy cassettes???

Oh lord. No. Terrible product.

Surely one of y’all a got an alternate suggestion, I’d get that reloop if it wasn’t so cheaply made for the price.

Behringer UCA202 + Soundation, if not?

seems like it got a good review to me?

If you search this forum for “recorder” there are plenty of results. For example the Tascam DR-40 or Zoom H4n.

Having written the review four years ago, I can tell you it hasn’t aged well, and has some huge shortcomings that normal recorders don’t. If you’ve got £90 spare, better to get a proper digital recorder. This thing requires a power cable, and needs a USB stick plugged in to record to. If this was more like £30, it’d be a no-brainer. But it isn’t.

Thanks y’all got a mint H4, I am all gravy
