Okay so im going to be buying a behringer ddm4000 mixer. since its traktor capable, im not going to get any turntables or cdjs cause i dont need them. how would i connect the mixer to speakers? do i need to connect each individual channel the mixer has or can i just use the master out?

so you already have decks? you kinda need em

shouldnt i be able to control the decks in traktor and not need turntable decks?

well yeah, but its not really the same. and if you ever do this for cash it would look really bad staring at a computer screen

This is all kinds of confusing..
@OP - You should be able to control basic functions of Traktor with the MIDI capabilities of the mixer, yes. And yes I’d say you just rout your master out to a set of speakers.

@Theory -
if you ever do this for cash it would look really bad staring at a computer screen
I’m pretty sure 99% of people on this forum use a computer to dj?

i think being forced to use the computer screen to coordinate traktor and music is wildly different than being able to step back and use a tangible controller to manipulate the music

is the point he was trying to make

You’ll need to either have powered speakers with an amp built in or run your outs on the mixer to an amp that then runs to speakers. your amp could be any home stereo that has RCA ins.
