Not sure if this will help you mate but i’ve found that if you make sure you mp3’s are tagged with 2.4 and have either jpegs or gifs as the cover art, not bmps, you should have no problems with art not showing up.
Don’t think there is one… It’s a ball ache imo. But yeah i’m having to drag them in Traktor. Even more annoying is there is no duplication detection so you can’t select all and drag them in as you will get duplicates… it’s annoying
I actually love Traktor but hate this so much I am genuinely considering moving to Serato.
Call me lazy but this is really really really annoying. Considering all the effects etc Traktor boosts about (and with good justification) surely they can put this right?
But those iTunes playlists are limited in regard to editing of id3-tags and the likes anyways, so for me copying my iTunes playlists into Traktor is the only usable solution (even though it is somewhat annoying). What annoys me more is that Traktor won’t read those iTunes star ratings.
I had my whole music collection properly tagged before moving it to a dedicated home server. Imagine my surprise when after the move, none of the tags where there. I had used WMP to tag the collection (i know WMP sucks, but I was streaming it all to my PS3).
Nevermind, I’m an idiot. Note to self. Always read first post when not drunk.
Carry on.
The OP stated that the artwork was showing in the deck but not the browser. Have you guys added “artwork” from the browser view choices? Right click(PC) or Opt Click (Mac) on the browser bar and make sure “cover art” is selected. Otherwise, I’m not sure what people are talking about.
5 years later I still feel the pain… And, for this one simple reason, very seriously consider switching to Serato. I thought I’d give it one last effort to resolve the situation but, it seems there is not a solution if you organize your music in iTunes to get the Art to appear in the iTunes node within Traktor. I need the artwork to recognize the songs because I can’t remember all the names, but the artwork jogs my memory of the song.
