Dance & House With NO VOCAL!

Hi guys,

I was just wondering if you could give me some info on what artists, labels, etc I can chase down to get tracks that have a good club beat like dance or house with no vocals in them?

To explain what I want to do, I just want to have a separate Acapella of a song for example Somebody Told Me by The Killers and have a good Dance track that I can blend it with?

I’m just trying to find stuff that is produced purely for this kind of thing?

If it’s available on Vinyl that’s even better!

Using your example, i think electro house would suit best. I have a remix of “Mr Bright Side” around somewhere and it works quite well.
Minimal= up to fuck all but good for three decks action.
Prog House= also good for three decks action but generally more funky.

There are lots of different sub-genres of house. What do you want? Uplifting? Deep? Soulful? Just browse beatport and discogs, you’ll find a ton of stuff there.

But if you insist on having recommendations, here are a few:

I’m also digging round for funk and soul and stuff! Love that kinda sound for hip hop and stuff!

Well, the stuff mentioned above isn’t really funky or soulful - more deep underground stuff. Can’t really help you out in that department.

But like I said, search beatport and discogs.

I blended Overnight by Hudson Mohawke with the a capella of Overnight Celebrity by Twista the other night, and my mate was blown away… It did sound pretty sick if I’m honest!
